Bachelor of Economics
Students majoring in economics study various areas of economics along with special subjects related to the customs system. Thus, students will be able to study, on the block of general economics subjects, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, History of Economic Thought, International Economics, Econometrics, Economic policy, Macroeconomic Analysis, Environmental Economics, Agrarian Economics, Regional Socio-Economic Development, Economy of Azerbaijan; on the block of financial subjects, Banking, Taxation, Auditing, Management, Marketing, Accounting; on the block of customs subjects, Customs Control and Customs Clearance, Customs Procedures and Declaration, Customs Tariff Regulation, Customs Statistics, Currency Regulation etc.
Bachelor of Law
Students majoring in law study various areas of law, including special subjects related to the customs system. Thus, students will be able to study, on the block of social subjects, Civil Law, Family Law, Labor Law, Social Protection Law, International Private Law, European Union Law, Administrative Procedure, Criminal Procedure, Basics of Investigative Activities, Criminology, Forensic Science; on the block of general economics subjects, Financial Law, Transport Law, Banking Law, Trade Law, Contract Law, Tax Law; on the block of customs subjects, Customs Law, Customs Control and Customs Clearance, Customs Expertise, Non-Tariff, and Other Regulatory Measures in the Customs Control Process, Administrative Liabilities for Customs Offenses, investigation and description of crimes in the field of customs etc.
Bachelor of Information Security
Information Security specialty prepares specialists in different areas ranging from information security and information protection, cryptographic data protection to security systems and networks. Here, along with cryptographic methods, the algorithm for the protection of computer information is considered. Through cryptographic and authentication protocols against cyberattacks, ways to protect databases in the public and financial sectors are analyzed. Social engineering topics are also taught in detail, and methods of infection and protection against malware are demonstrated in a practical way.
With a comprehensive approach to information security in wired and wireless corporate networks, the basic technology of protection of inter-network data exchange, as well as the organizational laws used to ensure information security are explained in detail.
In addition, new topics such as Electronic Digital Signature and Password Security, Virtual Private Network (VPN) and virus mutations are taught.
Bachelor of International Trade and Logistics
A student majoring in international trade and logistics studies the basic subjects of economics in the first two years of study. He also masters subjects related to international business and logistics, such as International Trade, International Logistics, International Business, International Trade Law, International Transport Operations at the level of scientific and practical knowledge. In addition, in order to acquire sufficient knowledge in the field of customs, which is one of the career paths the student may wish to pursue, topics such as organization and management of customs, customs control, and clearance, customs tariff regulation of foreign economic activity, customs logistics, customs examination are taught.
At the same time, new disciplines such as e-commerce, as well as international economic organizations and economic integration, international marketing, risk management and insurance are taught to fully understand the emerging global economy. In this specialty, soft and hard skills are taught both theoretically and practically and the student develops research and IT skills.
Intensive teaching of practical and specialized English during the first two years allows students to learn the documentation process in the field of trade and logistics, and participate in international projects. The subject of career planning shows students how to build a successful career in the first year. Also, students have the opportunity to do an internship in the customs authorities every year.
Successful graduates of this specialty have sufficient knowledge in the fields of economics, business, trade and logistics at the international level, and have the ability to accurately analyze the processes taking place in the country and the global economy. Graduates possess the necessary knowledge and skills in starting and developing a business; building a global brand, as well as becoming a specialist who can fully perform customs operations.
Master of Customs
Master's degree in Customs prepares a professional in the field of customs service by organizing scientific and practical education with leading specialists in the field of customs.
Here, students are first introduced to the theoretical basis of economic integration in globalization in the direction of the world economy, transnationalization, geoeconomics, foreign trade models, competitiveness and economic efficiency of the national economy as well as international organizations regulating global trade, such as the WTO and the WCO, and their impact on the formation of Azerbaijan's customs policy. On the modern organization of customs work, areas related to customs policy in Azerbaijan, such as the improvement of customs work, optimization of customs duties, and taxes are analyzed.
Optimal organization of customs policy based on state regulation of foreign trade is the main subject of this specialty.
Students of this specialty prepare a dissertation based on the scientific and practical solution of problems encountered in the theory and practice in the field of customs.
Master’s students also have internships in various departments of the customs authorities and are a priority in recruitment in the customs service.
There is always a need for graduates of this specialty to protect the security of the national economy and the development of international trade.
Master of Criminal law, criminal procedure, criminology and forensics
Master's degree in Criminal Law organizes scientific and practical education with leading specialists of the country in the field of criminal law and trains professionals in the field of legal services.
Here, master's students are introduced to international security law, international organization law, private international law, international humanitarian law, international human rights, international economic law, international law system in the process of globalization in criminal law direction. International organizations regulating this system and their impact on legislation and the formation of acts of Azerbaijan are taught as well.
Areas related to customs policy, such as international customs law, international transport law, international diplomatic law, as well as the improvement of customs work in Azerbaijan, customs clearance and optimization of the legal aspects of the declaration, are analyzed.
The regulation of foreign trade, international transport, and logistics, and international commerce areas which bridge international law and customs are also among the main subject blocks.
The main subject of this specialty is the optimal organization of the legal framework of customs policy based on state regulation of foreign trade.
There is always a need for graduates of this specialty to protect the security of the national economy and the legal regulation of international trade.
