The fourth year students of the Academy of the State Customs Committee successfully continue their 14-week production internship in  state and private institutions, including various customs bodies.

A scientific-practical seminar was held at  Baku Head Customs Department, to encourage  students to acquire practical knowledge and inform them about the activities of the customs system within the framework of the internship.

Deputy heads and employees of Academy of the State Customs Committee,  Baku Head Customs Department of the SCC, the General Customs Department for Excise Goods and the General Customs Expertise Department, as well as the fourth year students of the Academy, attended the seminar.

Making an opening speech, the Deputy Head of the Academy, Jamila Namazova, spoke about the importance of the seminar and the recent reforms in the customs system . She noted that the knowledge gained by the students during the internship in the customs bodies will be useful in the preparation of graduation papers. Professor Namazova spoke about the role of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the improvement of the customs system and she stressed the importance of the events planned during the year by the State Customs Committee and the Academy of the State Customs Committee related to the declaration of 2023 as the "Year of Heydar Aliyev".

Later, Faig Seyidov, the first deputy head of  Baku Head Customs Department, Kamran Aliyev, the head of the Customs Operations Department of the Headl Department, and other speakers noted that this experience is an important opportunity for students to gain practical knowledge in the field of customs and gave them their recommendations.

Then, employees informed the students about the main areas of activity and work principles of the departments and answered their questions.

After the seminar, an excursion of the interns to the relevant customs offices was organized. During the excursion, the students got detailed information about the activities of all three departments by observing the work process.

It should be noted that during the production internship, a number of events are planned to be held continuously in terms of educating students.
