ASCCA hosted a scientific event dedicated to the 31st anniversary of Azerbaijani Customs System

Academy of the State Customs Committee hosted a scientific event "Customs System of Independent Azerbaijan - 31 years", dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the establishment of  Azerbaijani Customs. The executives, staff and students of the Academy attended the event. A minute of silence was observed to honor the memory of the martyrs who fought for Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.

The deputy head of the Academy of the State Customs Committee, Professor Jamila Namazova welcomed the participants, congratulated the customs officers on their professional holidays and wished them success in their activities. Talking about the history of Azerbaijani Customs System,  Namazova noted that only after national leader Heydar Aliyev's return to power, reforms were carried out in the customs system and a serious turn was made in the activities of the State Customs Committee. She stressed that as a result of Heydar  Aliyev's economic policy aimed at the modernization of the customs system and President Ilham Aliyev's constant focus on the improvement of this system, the customs service was formed in Azerbaijan in accordance with world standards.

Later, the head teacher of the department of "Law and Humanitarian Sciences" , Shahin Huseynov, spoke about the law enforcement services of the customs authorities and gave recommendations on increasing knowledge and skills of the students in this field. The students made speeches and presentations on the role of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the formation of modern customs system, the dynamic development path of the independent Azerbaijani customs, international relations in the customs service in Azerbaijani and English  languages. The discussions were also held on ensuring transparency in the customs system, improving management, increasing the number of electronic services and reforms in other fields.

In the end, Jamila Namazova noted that the scientific research activities of the employees and students are planned to be carried out in accordance with the current issues and reforms carried out in the customs bodies. She encouraged students to actively participate in various scientific events.
