ASCCA holds Graduation Day

On June 29, the "Graduation Day" for the 2021/2022 academic year was held at the Academy of the State Customs Committee. The event was attended by the academy executives, academic staff, graduates and their parents.

First, a minute’s silence was observed to honour the dearest memory of the Martyrs who rose to the peak of heroic martyrdom for the territorial integrity of our country and the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.

Later, video footage was demonstrated encompassing the activities of the Academy.

Speaking at the event, the Head of the Academy, Major General of the Customs Service, Gulu Novruzov, congratulated the graduates on the occasion of this remarkable day, stressing that their graduation coincided with the glorious and historic time after the glorious Victory of our people in the Patriotic War under the leadership of the President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Mr Ilham Aliyev. Gulu Novruzov, pointing out the high achievements of the Academy in a short period of time, said that the last 2 years of the 4-year academic years of the current year's graduates coincided with the pandemic period, and despite the difficulties, the Academy successfully continued its activities and distinguished itself with a high-quality education. Talking about the heroism of the graduates of the previous years of the Academy in the 44-day Patriotic War, Gulu Novruzov said that it is a source of pride for each of us that our graduates have a share in the liberation of our territories from occupation. According to Mr  Novruzov, after the glorious victory, young personnel have a great responsibility for the successful implementation of large-scale improvement and construction projects in Karabakh. He also expressed hope that the graduates of the Academy will take part in this historic mission and by their active involvement contribute to the nationwide process.

Gulu Novruzov expressed his gratitude to the chairman of the State Customs Committee, colonel-general of the customs service, Mr Safar Mehdiyev, who constantly supports the training of highly qualified professional personnel, to the academic staff and employees of the Academy, as well as to the parents of the graduates who had an important stake in the fulfilment of this honourable mission and once again congratulated all the students who won the title of graduate and wished each of them success in their future endeavours.

The graduates who shared their good impressions with the participants of the event also stated that they were always surrounded by care and attention by the management and teaching staff during their studies at the Academy and that they are proud of the special purpose higher education institution they graduated and assured to uphold the name of the Customs Academy with their future activities.

Delivering a speech at the event, Imamverdi Novruzov, a graduate of the 2019/2020 academic year of the Academy and a participant in the 44-day Patriotic War, also congratulated the graduates and advised them to work successfully for the sake of our motherland's progress.

Later, "Certificates of Honor" were presented to the graduates who distinguished themselves due to their high academic performance and their special activity in the public and social life of the Academy, in cultural and mass events.

In the end, the traditional "hat throwing" ceremony of the graduates was held.
