Commemoration Event Held in Honor of National Leader Heydar Aliyev
An event dedicated to the commemoration of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the Academy of the State Customs Committee.
An event dedicated to commemorating National Leader Heydar Aliyev took place at the Academy of the State Customs Committee. The gathering was attended by the leadership of the Academy of the State Customs Committee, Member of Parliament and Editor-in-Chief of "Iki Sahil" newspaper, Vugar Rahimzade, Academy staff, and students.
The event began with a one-minute silence to honor the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, followed by the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In his speech, the head of ASCCA, Major-General of Customs Service Gulu Novruzov, noted that 21 years had passed since the death of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. He highlighted Heydar Aliyev's irreplaceable role in the history of Azerbaijani statehood. Novruzov emphasized that the groundwork for a systematic and targeted effort to liberate Karabakh was laid by Heydar Aliyev and ultimately culminated in the glorious victory of the Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev during the 44-day Patriotic War. He also stressed the importance of modern youth understanding the political legacy of the Great Leader and passing this legacy on to future generations.
Member of Parliament and Editor-in-Chief of "Iki Sahil" newspaper, Vugar Rahimzade, spoke about the immense contributions of the Great Leader to the Azerbaijani people and the state. He noted that as long as an independent Azerbaijan exists, the legacy of the Great Leader will live on in the hearts of the people, and he will always be remembered as a great personality.
