ASCCA holds Student Scientific Society Election Meeting

The State Customs Committee Academy recently hosted the election meeting of the Student Scientific Society (SSS). The meeting was attended by Academy staff and students.

During the session, the Academy’s Deputy Head Jamila Namazova, delivered a speech about the role, objectives, and responsibilities of the Student Scientific Society. She emphasized that involving students in research activities and conducting scientific inquiries is one of SSS’s most important tasks. J. Namazova encouraged students to participate actively and objectively in the elections, and wished success to the candidates.

Following the candidates' platform presentations, a vote was held.

As a result of the election, Gumru Asadzade, a second-year student majoring in International Trade and Logistics, was elected as the new Chair of the Student Scientific Society. Additionally, four scientific centers were established within the 30-member Board of SSS, based on the specialties taught at the Academy, and new leadership and members were appointed to these centers.
