Novruz Celebration at ASCCA
A festive celebration marking the Novruz holiday was held at the Academy of the State Customs Committee (ASCCA).
The event began with a moment of silence in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan's independence and territorial integrity, followed by the national anthem.
In his opening speech, the head of the Academy, Major General of the Customs Service Gulu Novruzov, spoke about the historical and cultural significance of Novruz, a holiday that reflects the national and spiritual values, customs, and traditions of the Azerbaijani people. He emphasized that, under the leadership of Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and owing to the heroism of the valiant Azerbaijani Army and our martyrs, Novruz is now celebrated with greater enthusiasm and pride throughout the country.
At the end of his speech, Gulu Novruzov conveyed the Novruz greetings from the Chairman of the State Customs Committee, Lieutenant General of the Customs Service Shahin Baghirov, to the Academy staff. He wished everyone good health, joyful days, and continued success.
During the event, students who excelled in academics and social activities were awarded certificates by the Academy head.
The event also featured traditional Novruz holiday trays and artwork created by students, showcasing the customs and traditions associated with the holiday.
The event continued with a cultural program, including musical performances, dances, and engaging Novruz-themed skits presented by students, which brought color and joy to the celebration and lifted the spirits of all attendees.
The celebration concluded with the head of ASCCA and students lighting the holiday bonfire together.
