Scientific debate between ASCCA and Khazar University students

A scientific debate was conducted between students from the Academy of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan (ASCCA) and Khazar University on the topic of "Foreign Trade Policy: Free Trade or Protectionism". During the debate, Dr. Jeyhun Mammadov, the dean of the "Economics and Management" faculty, acted as the judge, while the academic staff served as opponents.

During the debate, students from ASCCA, namely Tavakkul Hajiyev, Mansura Abdullayeva, Kazim Muradov, and Emin Mammadli, presented valid arguments in favor of the protectionist policy of the state. They supported their arguments with scientific and empirical evidence. On the other hand, the "Economist" club of Khazar University presented well-founded theoretical considerations and facts in support of free trade policy.

After the presentations, a Q&A session took place where both sides tried to answer each other's arguments with counter-arguments. The debate ended in a draw, and Tavakkul Hajiyev, who was the captain of the ASCCA's "Renaissance" team, was recognized as the best speaker in the debate.

In the end, the students from ASCCA were awarded prizes for their participation.
