Commemoration ceremony held to honor martyr customs officer Ulvi Hajiyev

The memory of  one of our heroic sons, customs officer Ulvi Hajiyev, who rose to the peak of martyrdom in the 44-day Patriotic War  was honored.

A commemoration event was held on the occasion of the birthday of customs officer Ulvi Hajiyev, a martyr of the Great Patriotic War. The family members, relatives of the martyr , the executives of the State Customs Committee, the management, employees, students of the Academy of the State Customs Committee, management and staff of the high school and the university the martyr studied, well-known artists, Ulvi's comrades-in-arms, colleagues and groupmates, as well as other officials participated in the event.

Before the ceremony, the participants visited the grave of Ulvi Hajiyev in the Second Martyrs Alley, laid flowers on it, and paid tributes to the unforgettable memory of our martyrs.

The commemoration event began with the sounding of our National Anthem and a minute of silence was observed in memory of our martyrs. Speaking at the event, Hamida Gurbanova, the mother of the martyr, shared the memories of her son and said that she is proud of him and  thanks to heroes like Ulvi, our lands were liberated .

The event participants provided extensive information about  the historic Victory won by our glorious army under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev in the 44-day Patriotic War, the battle path of our heroes, the attention and care shown to the families of martyrs, veterans and war participants.

Later, extensive information was given about the life path of the martyr , customs officer Ulvi Hajiyev. It was specially emphasized that he is an example of patriotism and heroism for all young people, and his memory will live forever in hearts.

The ceremony continued with the artistic part, the  poems dedicated to the heroes of the Motherland were performed by students of the Academy.
