On February 11, 2026, an awareness-raising event was organized at the Academy of the State Customs Committee (ASCCA) within the framework of the priorities identified in the fields of digitalization and artificial intelligence during the meeting on the unified action plan titled “A New Digital Architecture of Azerbaijan,” chaired by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

A presentation titled “Artificial Intelligence and Law: Introduction to the E-qanun.ai Platform” was held for students majoring in Law at the Academy of the State Customs Committee (ASCCA) by ELSA Azerbaijan and the National Artificial Intelligence Center.

Opening the event, Elvin Alirzayev, PhD in Economics and Head of the Customs Affairs and Management Department at the Academy, spoke about the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence and the challenges associated with its application in this field.

Trainer and lawyer Nurlan Safarov, invited from the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, spoke about global development prospects of artificial intelligence, as well as legal issues and dispute resolution processes arising from its application in different countries.

Ibrahim Suleymanov, an employee of the National Artificial Intelligence Center, also delivered a presentation, explaining the operating principles of the “E-qanun.ai” platform and demonstrating how to conduct direct searches on the website and analyze the results.

It should be noted that the project is implemented with the support of the National Artificial Intelligence Center, one of the companies of AZCON Holding, and its main objective is to introduce students the innovations brought by artificial intelligence in the field of law, new professional opportunities, and the capabilities of the E-qanun.ai platform.
