As part of the “We Have a Guest” project organized by the Baku City Main Department of Culture, a meeting was held with Anar, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union (AWU) and People’s Writer of Azerbaijan. Along with officials, figures from science, culture, and the arts, as well as intellectuals, students of the Academy of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan (ASCCA) also participated in the meeting, which took place at the H. Abbasov Mashtagha Cultural Center.

The host spoke about the prominent writer’s life and creative work, emphasizing Anar’s significant contributions to the development of Azerbaijani literature and culture. It was noted that his works continue to be widely read today and have been translated into many languages.

In his speech, the People’s Writer expressed his gratitude for the organization of the meeting and for the kind remarks shared about him. Speaking about contemporary Azerbaijani and world literature, he touched upon various interesting topics and recommended students and young people to read literary works.

Later, he answered participants’ questions, and memorial photos were taken.
