ASCCA commemorates the memory of martyrs on the Remembrance Day
An event dedicated to the 5th anniversary of September 27 – Remembrance Day - was held jointly organized by the Academy of the State Customs Committee and the Executive Power of Sabunchu District of Baku. The event was attended by the executives of the Academy, the head of the Executive Power of Sabunchu District of Baku, Adil Valiyev, deputies and employees of the Executive Power, families of martyrs, veterans, employees and students of the Academy attended the event.
At the beginning of the event, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played, and a minute of silence was observed in memory of the Great Leader and our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of our republic.
Delivering an opening speech, the head of the Academy, Major General of the Customs Service Gulu Novruzov, touched upon the acts of vandalism and genocide committed by Armenians against our people and emphasized that Azerbaijan has always fought a just struggle. He noted that the Patriotic War, which began five years ago - on September 27, 2020, ended with a glorious Victory as a result of the leadership of the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the valor of our National Army and the unity of our people. Novruzov emphasized that this Victory is one of the brightest pages in the history of Azerbaijan, and noted that the memory of the martyrs will always be commemorated with respect and their glorious path of battle will be an example for younger generations.
The family members of the martyrs, Maleyka Majidova, mother of martyr Major Elchin Mansurov, Matanat Guliyeva, mother of martyr Colonel Rashad Guliyev, Naila Mutallimzadeh, mother of martyr Agajavad Mutallimzadeh, Shakir Abdullayev, father of martyr Hasanagha Abdullaezadeh, Ilaha Mammadova, mother of martyr Rashad Novruzov, Naila Gasimova, mother of martyr Kamran Gasimov, Kamala Ismayilova, mother of martyr Afgan Nasirov, Mahir Aliyev, father of martyr Tahir Aliyev, and Igbal Safarov, an employee of State Customs Committee who participated in the Patriotic War, spoke with pride about the heroism shown by our soldiers and officers in battles and the glorious Victory achieved for the freedom of our lands.
The law students of the Academy, Aysun Shirinzade and Ayla Adilova, presented a report and recited a poem dedicated to the heroes of the homeland.
