Debate was held between the Academy of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan (ASCCA) and the Police Academy
The Police Academy hosted a debate competition dedicated to the Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty on the topic “Can the international protection of human rights be considered interference in state sovereignty?”. The event was attended by Yaver Mammadova, Senior Specialist of the Department of Additional Education at the Academy of the State Customs Committee, and the students from the Academy.
The competition between members of the “Young Lawyers” student scientific club operating under the Department of Theory of State and Law of the Police Academy and students of the ASCCA aimed to develop young people's analytical thinking and patriotic spirit, as well as to strengthen cooperation between the two academies.
During the debate, participants were divided into two teams, one supporting and one opposing the motion with seven participants took part, including three main speakers from each academy. Then, in the discussion part of the debate, participants delivered presentations on various legal topics and engaged in extensive exchanges of views.
After the jury evaluated the participants’ results, the organizers emphasized that the true winner was Azerbaijani youth and science. On behalf of the Police Academy leadership, both teams were presented the commemorative gifts reflecting the Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty, along with certificates.
