Seminar on Combating Hybrid Threats Held at ASCCA

A seminar on combating hybrid threats was held at the Academy of the State Customs Committee (ASCCA) within the framework of the project “Working with Transnational Internet Corporations in Combating Hybrid Threats,” organized by the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Organizations Association (ACOA) with the support of the State Agency for Support to NGOs.

Opening the seminar with a welcome speech, Asif Ganbayev, Associate Professor of the Academy’s Department of Information Technology and Technical Sciences, spoke about the relevance of the topic in the modern era and emphasized the importance of such initiatives carried out in collaboration with ACOA.

Project leader, PhD in Law, Tabriz Jafarov, provided information about the project and discussed the risks that hybrid threats pose in the information space, as well as ways to combat them.

Then, ACOA expert Lala Karimova gave a presentation on the main principles of cybersecurity, the security standards of transnational internet corporations, personal data protection, and information threats on social networks.

At the end of the event, students’ questions were answered.
