ASCCA hosts Master Class on “2026: Economic Expectations”
A master class titled “2026: Economic Expectations” was held at the Academy of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan (ASCCA) for students majoring in Economics and International Trade and Logistics. The event was organized by the Department of Customs and Management at ASCCA.
In his opening remarks, Elvin Alirzayev, PhD in Economics, Head of the Department, spoke about the challenges that countries around the world are expected to face amid global economic changes, as well as development forecasts for different regions.
Delivering a presentation at the event, Hasan Rahimli, a lecturer at the Academy, explained Azerbaijan’s macroeconomic indicators for the coming year, drawing on development forecasts by international organizations and state institutions. He also addressed the potential impact of projected declines in oil prices on key economic indicators.
Another Academy lecturer, Mammad Talibli, analyzed the main revenue and expenditure directions of the 2026 state budget, discussing the structure of tax and customs revenues. He noted that state budget expenditures for the next year are projected to exceed 41.5 billion manats, and highlighted allocations for the economy, education, healthcare, and science.
The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students’ questions were addressed in detail.
