5th anniversary of Victory Day is celebrated at ASCCA
Academy of the State Customs Committee hosted an event dedicated to the 8th of November -Victory Day. The management, staff, students of the academy, as well as the families of martyrs, and veterans attended the event.
First, the memory of our national leader Heydar Aliyev and all the martyrs who died for the independence and territorial integrity of our republic was commemorated with a minute of silence and the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was sounded.
Making an opening speech, the head of the Academy, Major General of the Customs service Gulu Novruzov congratulated the participants of the event on the 5th anniversary of the glorious victory and spoke about the historical significance of Victory Day. Speaking about the work done to perpetuate the Victory won by our glorious army under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Mr. President Ilham Aliyev, the head of the academy emphasized that this victory is an example for future generations and he wished mercy to our martyrs and health to our veterans.
Later, Tarana Babayeva, mother of martyr Rashad Babayev, Mahir Aliyev, father of martyr Tahir Aliyev, Elvin Valiyev, a participant of the Patriotic War, member of the Special Forces, employee of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population veteran of the Patriotic War, Adalat Mammadov, member of the Special Forces and Vasif Allahverdiyev , a veteran of the Patriotic War spoke about the moral significance of the victory for our people, as well as the heroism shown by our martyrs and veterans for the sake of the homeland. The event continued with an artistic composition.
