ASCCA receives International certificate "Commitment to Professional Excellence"
The Academy of the State Customs Committee (ASCCA) has been awarded the international certificate “Commitment to Professional Excellence” by the European Training Foundation (ETF). This award was presented as a result of the work carried out within the framework of the “Internationalization of Professional Excellence” (IntVE) project implemented by the ETF with the support of the European Union.
Thus, Elvin Mejidov, the coordinator for International cooperation and projects of the academy was selected in the international competition process announced by the ATF in September last year and participated in the "International Winter Training Camp for Professional Excellence" held in Nova Gorica, Slovenia in February this year. As part of the training program, he compiled an analytical assessment questionnaire for the academy consisting of 238 criteria based on the "International Self-Assessment Tool for Centres of Vocational Excellence" (ISATCOVE) and organized an online assessment process. A team of several ASCCA employees was also involved in this process and actively participated in the survey.
A Center of Excellence Development Plan of the academy, prepared by Elvin Majidov based on the knowledge gained from the trainings held in Slovenia, was highly appreciated and accepted by the ATF.
As a result of this successful process, ASCCA was awarded the international certificate “Commitment to Professional Excellence” in 2025, and the employees who participated in the assessment were awarded 11 individual certificates and digital badges by ATF. It should be noted that ASCCA is the first higher education institution and state institution in Azerbaijan to be awarded a certificate by ATF, as well as the first institution to achieve this success among the Regional Training Centers of the WCO. This achievement is an indicator of the Academy’s development in line with international standards towards professional excellence.
